Download MIUI ROMs with ease

Downmi is a free utility mobile app that lets you download MIUI ROMs for your mobile device. Developed by Izadi Egizabal, this downloader tool is designed for Xiaomi and POCO devices and also offers a ROM for Android One. It’s easy to use for anyone who’s not used to getting ROMs for their phones. However, if you’re using this to get older versions, you should be careful with some of the anti-rollback functions.

No more hassle in searching

Xiaomi is a Chinese multinational electronics company first founded in 2010. It manufactures and invests in smartphones, mobile apps, laptops, and many other products. Considered as one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers, especially in China and India, it typically supports the Android operating system—and with that, the ability to freely customize the software based upon user preferences. POCO, on the other hand, is its smartphone sub-brand while MIUI is one of its Android-based software skin.

Alongside Android One, MIUI is a popular Android ROM thanks to its highly-customizable interface and themes. It also offers features such as Recovery, Fastboot, and root access. However, downloading any version can be a hassle, even to experienced ROM users. Most MIUI ROMs can be custom-built so you’ll often find these in forums being offered to anyone interested in their features. Unfortunately, that means slogging through forum posts at times.

Fortunately, using Downmi for finding those is easy enough. The interface is straightforward despite its bland design. First, choose your device from the drop-down list of phone models. Next, select which type of ROM you want. Then, select the ROM version you’re looking for. In this step, it’s best to research the versions beforehand. Lastly, choose whether it should be Recovery or Fastboot. You can then either download it or copy its link.

Could use some more features

Overall, Downmi is a pretty handy tool for Xiaomi and POCO phone users who want specific versions of their MIUI ROM. Not only does it help in bypassing the tedious search of various different versions, but it offers easy results and even different types of ROMs. The only issues are that its interface design isn’t too inspiring, it doesn’t list the versions’ different features, and you still need to be careful with anti-rollback features and region locks.

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
